Why Donate?

With your generous donations, we provide invaluable educational, cultural, and charitable services to our members, alma mater, and the community.

Seoul National University Alumni Association is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization (Federal ID 91-2165164) eligible to receive tax-deductible contributions. It also has a group tax-exempt status (No. 3784) for its chapters.

If you are 70.5 or older, you may make a qualified charitable distribution (QCD) as follows:

Funds should be transferred directly from your financial institution to The SNUAA-USA Foundation.
This gift can be in any amount, up to $100,000 per person ($200,000 for a couple with separate IRAs).
The amounts that are rolled over are not subject to income tax.
If you have personalized checks for your IRA account, please contact@snuaa for specific information to ensure your wishes are met.

You may donate to any of the following three types of funds.

Operational Fund

Donation amount: no limit
General fund: to develop new programs for members and to help with general operations, including publication of SNUAAUS News and the Culture Program
Scholarship fund: to support the SNUAA Scholars Program
Brain Network fund: to support the Brain Network Program
Charity fund: to support the Charity Program
SNU fund: to support programs with SNU

SNUAA President’s Club

Century Foundation Fund

The Century Foundation Fund provides the financial foundation and sustainable stability of the Association and hence, can only be expended with the approval of the Assembly of Delegates.

Lifetime Sponsoring Trustee fees are divided into the Century Foundation Fund and the Operational Fund with a minimum of two-thirds going into the former. The remainder is added to the Operational Fund.

SNU Support Fund

Donations enable SNUAA to support various programs with SNU. Donations may also be directly made to the Seoul National University Foundation, Inc.
