Dear KSEA members,
We are excited to announce the 2024 National Mathematics Competition (NMC) and National High School Physics Competition (NHSPC) as an in-person event first time after the pandemic. Both competitions will be held on Saturday, April 6, 2024. Top-scoring 2024 NMC participants will be invited to the Hanwha Math Olympiad (HMO) in May 2024.
Event Format: On-site event (no online participation)

Competition Time:
- Physics (Grades 9th – 12th): 9:30 am – 10:45 am PT/12:30 pm – 1:45 pm ET
- Math (Grades 4th – 11th): 11:00 am – 1:00 pm PT/ 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm ET
Registration:
Please follow the instructions below to register:
- Open the registration page (https://nmsc.ksea.org/nmsc-2024-registration)
- Find your local chapter.
- Fill out the student information.
- Pay the registration fee online.
- Check your email for the registration confirmation. (If not received, please contact your local chapter or send an email to nmscinfo@ksea.org.)
NMC National Awards:
In each grade category, cash prizes totaling $1,000 will be distributed among the top three performers. In addition, top-scoring 2024 NMC participants will be invited to the Hanwha Math Olympiad (HMO) in May 2024. HMO awards up to 10 students with various scholarships.
