The Seoul National University Alumni Association in the USA offers scholarships to provide financial support for exceptional college students who have the potential to make a positive impact in their field and in the world. The selection process for the scholarship is holistic, taking into account a range of factors, including academic ability, character, creativity, integrity, leadership, entrepreneurship, and potential contribution to the profession and society.
The recipients of the Scholarships join the SNUAA Scholars Program as SNUAA Scholars to receive support and guidance for them to make future leaders in various segments of society.
Up to ten (10) awards of $10,000 each are available for the year 2023.
Eligibility
- Students enrolled in a 4-year college.
- U.S. or Canadian citizens or permanent residents of Korean ethnicity.
- Previous awardees are ineligible.
Application Period
January 1, 2023, through March 31, 2023.

Application Procedure
Fill out:
- Application closed for 2023
Submit online the following:
- Resume – GPA, a list of awards, a list of extracurricular activities, job experience, community service activities, and other noteworthy accomplishments
- Transcripts for all college coursework – for first-year students, including high school grades
- An 800-word essay on your future goal
Ask two references to mail their recommendation letters directly to scholarship@snuaa.org.
- Two recommendation letters that speak to your academic achievements, leadership, and experience.
Notification
The winners will be notified by email by May 30, 2023. The scholarship awards will be presented at the SNUAA’s annual assembly in June 2023.
