Seoul National University Alumni Association in the USA (SNUAA-USA) is proud to offer scholarships to empower exceptional college students of Korean descent to participate in the prestigious Seoul National University International Summer Program (SNU ISP). This transformative program offers a unique opportunity to pursue academic excellence, cultural immersion, and global networking at one of Asia’s top universities.
Scholarship Overview
The SNUAA Undergraduate Scholarship supports students who demonstrate outstanding academic achievement, creativity, leadership, entrepreneurial spirit, and a commitment to making a positive impact on their profession and society. Our holistic selection process evaluates candidates based on these qualities, ensuring a diverse and talented cohort.
Award Details
- Number of Scholarships: Ten (10), each providing a $10,000 award.
- Funding Breakdown:
- Direct costs for the SNU ISP (including tuition and dormitory fees, no meals) will be paid directly to Seoul National University.
- The remaining balance, approximately $5,000 (subject to final confirmation), will be awarded to the student for additional expenses, such as airfare and meals.
- Program: SNU ISP, Summer 2027.
Eligibility Requirements
To apply, you must:
- Be an undergraduate student enrolled in a 4-year college or university as of November 1, 2025. (Includes seniors continuing to graduate school)
- Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident of Korean ancestry.
- Not have previously received an SNUAA Scholarship.
Application Process
- Deadline: November 3, 2026
- How to Apply: Submit your application through our online portal at https://snuaa.org/scholarship/.
- Application Materials: Online application form, college transcripts (high school transcripts for first-year students), resume with your portrait, a 500-word essay about your future goal, and two (2) recommendation letters to be submitted at https://snuaa.org/reference-letter-submission/.
- Notification: We will notify the award recipients via email by February 1, 2027. Awardees must confirm their acceptance by February 15, 2027. They must attend the online Award Ceremony, a part of the annual SNUAA Assembly, scheduled for Saturday, June 26, 2027.

2027 SNUAA 서울대학교 국제 하계 프로그램 장학금 안내
서울대학교 미주동창회(SNUAA-USA)는 한국계 우수 대학생들이 서울대학교 국제 하계 프로그램(SNU ISP)에 참여할 수 있도록 장학금을 지원합니다. 이 특별한 프로그램은 아시아 최고 대학 중 하나인 서울대학교에서 학문적 우수성을 체험하고, 한국 문화에 몰입하며 글로벌 네트워킹을 할 수 있는 기회를 제공합니다.
장학금 개요
SNUAA-USA 학부 장학금은 학업 성취도, 창의성, 지도력, 기업가 정신, 그리고 각 전문 분야와 사회에 긍정적으로 기여할 잠재력을 갖춘 학생들을 지원합니다. 심사 과정은 다각적이며, 다양한 역량을 종합적으로 평가해 우수한 수혜자를 선발합니다.
장학금 세부 사항
- 장학생 수: 10명, 각각 10,000달러 제공
- 지급 방식:
- SNU ISP의 직접 비용(수업료 및 기숙사비 포함)은 서울대학교에 직접 지급됩니다.
- 잔여 금액(약 5,000달러, 최종 확정 예정)은 학생에게 항공료, 식사비 등 추가 경비로 지급됩니다.
- 프로그램: SNU ISP, 2026년 여름
지원 자격
지원자는 다음 요건을 충족해야 합니다:
- 2026년 11월 1일 기준으로 4년제 대학에 재학 중이어야 합니다. (대학원 진학 예정 4학년생 포함)
- 미국 시민권자 또는 한국계 영주권자여야 합니다.
- 이전 SNUAA-USA 장학금 수혜자는 지원할 수 없습니다.
지원 절차
- 마감일: 2026년 11월 30일
- 지원 방법: 미주동창회 온라인 포털(https://snuaa.org/scholarship)을 통해 지원
- 지원 서류: 온라인 지원서, 대학 성적 증명서 (신입생의 경우, 고등학교 성적 증명서), 사진 포함 이력서, 장래 목적에 대한 500자 논문, 추천서 2통 (온라인 제출 https://snuaa.org/reference-letter-submission/).
- 결과 발표: 수혜자는 2026년 1월 15일까지 이메일로 통보받습니다. 수락 여부는 2026년 1월 31일까지 알려주셔야 합니다.
