서울대학교 워싱턴동창회 장학금 신청공고

서울대 워싱턴주 동창회는 워싱턴주에 거주하는 한인 자녀를 포함한 미래세대들이 학업에 더욱 정진하여 그들이 꿈꾸는 미래에 훌륭한 세계의 주역, 글로벌 리더가 될수 있도록 소정의 장학금을 지원함으로써, 그들을 격려하고 장려하는 것을 목적으로 2026 년도 장학생을 모집합니다.

1. Scholarship (장학금)
   • Up to five (5) awards of $US 1,500 each for 2026
   • Scholarships include two (2) special applicants who major in Korean Studies at the
     University of Washington in Seattle (장학금 신청자는 대학(원) 등록 학생이어야 하며, 일반 지원자는 UW에서 한국학을 전공하는 특별 지원자 2명을 포함한다).
     
2. Eligibility (지원자격)
   • U.S. citizens or permanent residents in Washington State (워싱턴주 거주 미국 시민 또는 영주권자).
   • Enrolled at a 4-year college or university undergraduate or graduate school (4년제 대학(원) 등록 학생).
   • Senior High School students who were admitted to and enrolled at a 4-year college or university are included (고등학교 졸업 예정자로서 4년제 대학에 입학 허가를 받고 등록한 학생을 포함한다).
   • Previous awardees are ineligible (장학금수혜는 1 회로 제한한다).

4. Selection Criteria (선정기준)
   • Primarily, based on financial need alongside academic excellence (학업성적이 뛰어나지만 가정 형편이 어려운 학생들을 주 대상으로 한다).
   • Secondly, in addition to academic excellence, outstanding talent and special achievements in leadership, sports, music, or art can be considered as complementary criteria (학업성적 외에도 리더십, 운동, 음악, 미술 등 특정 분야에서의 뛰어난 재능과 업적도 부차적으로 선정 기준에 포함할 수 있다).
     
5. Selection Schedule (선정일정)
   • Post on the SNUAA-WA Website (https://snuaa.org/washington-chapter/) and local newspapers (April-June), review (June), interview (July), and announce (August) the awards (매년 4월에서 6월까지 서울대 미주동창회 website와 지역 언론에 공고, 6월에 서류심사 완료, 7월에 인터뷰로 최종 선정 및 발표, 8월에 수상).
     
6. Award Ceremony (장학금수여)
   • Award Ceremony will be held at the Summer Meeting in August (최종 선정된 장학생은 8월 하계 모임에 초청하여 장학금을 수여).
     
7. How to apply (지원방법)
   • Online: You can download an application form at SNUAA-WA Website (https://snuaa.org/washington-chapter/), and submit a completed form along with a transcript via emailwith a transcript at the same website (서울대 미주동창회 워싱턴 지부 website 에서 지원서를 다운로드 받아서 작성한다음, 성적증명서와 함께 아래 이메일로 접수)
