서울대학교 사회과학대학 심리학과는 2027년 9월 1일 임용 예정으로 인지심리학 분야 전임교원을 초빙합니다. 이번 초빙은 인지심리학의 모든 세부 분야에 열려 있습니다.

인간 인지의 중요한 미해결 문제에 도전하며, 독자적인 연구 프로그램으로 분야의 새로운 방향을 열어 가는 연구자를 초빙합니다. 새로운 이론을 제안하고 정교한 실험·행동 연구로 이를 검증하며 인지심리학의 설명 범위를 넓혀 가는 분을 찾습니다.

새로운 접근에 열려 있고, 국내외 연구 협력을 주도하며 국제 학계의 논의를 이끌어 가는 분의 지원을 기다립니다.

교육과 학생 지도

새로 부임하실 교수님께서는 인지·행동 실험 과목을 포함한 학부·대학원 교육과 학생 연구지도를 맡으시게 됩니다. 실험을 통해 심리과학의 질문을 탐구하는 교육을 강화하고, 생성형 모델을 활용한 연구 교육을 함께 발전시켜 나가고자 합니다.

학문 환경

서울대학교 심리학과는 심리과학연구소를 운영하며, 교수진은 학내외 다학제 연구에 참여하고 있습니다. 학내 뇌과학·인지과학 협동과정과 AI대학원은 신경과학·언어학·철학· 인공지능 연구자들과 교류할 수 있는 기반입니다.

학과가 주관하는 학부 연계전공 「뇌-마음-행동」에는 경제학부·철학과·생명과학부·컴퓨터공학부 등이 함께 참여합니다.

The Department of Psychology in the College of Social Sciences at Seoul National University (SNU) invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track or tenured faculty position in Cognitive Psychology, with an anticipated start date of September 1, 2027. We welcome applications from all subfields of cognitive psychology. Applications will be accepted from December 1, 2026, until 16:00 KST on December 30, 2026.

What We Seek

We seek a pioneering scholar who is advancing an independent research program that addresses important, unresolved questions about human cognition. We welcome researchers who formulate new theoretical accounts and test them through rigorous experimental and behavioral research, extending the explanatory reach of cognitive psychology.

We encourage applications from scholars who are open to new approaches, lead research collaborations in Korea and abroad, and help shape the direction of the field through their contributions to international scholarly debate.

Teaching and Mentoring

The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate courses, including laboratory courses in cognitive and behavioral experimentation, and mentor student research. We aim to strengthen training in experimental approaches to psychological science and develop research training that incorporates generative models.

Academic Environment

The Department of Psychology at SNU runs the Institute of Psychological Science, and its faculty participate in interdisciplinary research within and beyond the university.

SNU’s Interdisciplinary Programs in Neuroscience and in Cognitive Science, along with the Graduate School of Artificial Intelligence, provide opportunities to engage with researchers in neuroscience, linguistics, philosophy, and artificial intelligence.

The Department also leads Brain-Mind-Behavior, an undergraduate interdisciplinary program with participation from Economics, Philosophy, Biological Sciences, Computer Science and Engineering, and other departments.

Eligibility, Appointment Terms, and Required Documents:
Applicants must hold a doctoral degree and meet SNU’s faculty appointment eligibility requirements. Please see the official announcement for appointment terms and detailed document requirements.

Letters of Recommendation:
At least two letters from specialists in the same field are required after Stage 1 (interview candidates and the letter deadline will be notified individually). Referee information must be entered at the time of application; letters may also be submitted during the application period. Requests to referees through the application system must be sent before the application deadline.
