The first round of the 2026 Sejong Music Competition will be conducted virtually. Applicants must submit unedited video recordings of two pieces through our online application portal.
Finalists will be invited to perform live before a distinguished panel of judges on:

Divisions (Piano and Violin): NEW! Only Two Divisions.
Senior Division: Grades 9-12
Junior Division: Grades 8 and younger
Eligibility and Submission Requirement:
1. Open to all pre-college piano and violin students residing in the United States.
2. Previous first-place winners may not compete again in the same division.
3. Applicants must submit two complete performance videos:
–One piece of the student’s choice (memorized; no repeated repertoire from previous competitions)
–One piece from the required repertoire list (repeat performances are permitted; memorization is not required)
4. Videos must be unedited.
5. Application fee: $100

Senior division: first ($700), second ($600), third ($500),
the best interpretation of Korean music ($500)
Junior division: first ($500), second ($400), third ($300),
