2026 National Mathematics Competition (NMC) and National High School Physics Competition (NHSPC) (4/18/26)

Dear KSEA members,

We are excited to announce the 2026 National Mathematics Competition (NMC) and National High School Physics Competition (NHSPC) as an in-person event in 2026 again. Both competitions will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2026. Top-scoring 2026 NMC participants will be invited to the Hanwha Math Olympiad (HMO) in May 2026.

  • Physics (Grades 9th – 12th): 9:30 am – 10:45 am PDT / 12:30 pm – 1:45 pm EDT
  • Math (Grades 4th – 11th): 11:00 am – 1:00 pm PDT / 2:00 pm – 4:00 pm EDT

Registration

Please follow the instructions below to register:

1. Open the registration page: https://nmsc.ksea.org/nmsc-2026-registration
2. Find your local chapter.
3. Fill out the student information.
4. Pay the registration fee online.
5. Check your email for the registration confirmation. If not received, please contact your local chapter or send an email to nm******@**ea.org.

NMC National Awards

In each grade category, cash prizes totaling $1,000 will be distributed among the top three performers. In addition, top-scoring 2026 NMC participants will be invited to the Hanwha Math Olympiad (HMO) in May 2026. HMO awards up to 10 students with various scholarships.
